Calumet Water Reclamation Plant
Spectrum Engineering, Inc. provided electrical design and consulting services for new facility that will provide pump station with a firm pumping capacity of 530 MGD and the maximum hydraulic capacity of 650 MGD. Electrical design included two new 13.2 KV electrical services, 13.2 KV, 4.16KV and 480V switchgears, variable frequency drives for approximately ½ of the pumps at each level. The largest pump with VFD is 1,750 HP. Electrical design also included provisions for building HVAC systems, mechanical equipment interlocks, lighting, life safety and communication systems.
